The Easy Rescue transmits the position of a person fallen overboard directly to all AIS receivers within range.

How does the Easy Rescue work?

The Easy Rescue is a personal AIS transmitting beacon. With a built in GPS it transmits an emergency AIS-SART sentence (MOB) which triggers an alarm on all AIS enabled chart plotters / PC’s within range, along with the Lat/Long of the victim. The GPS is a new generation fast acquiring type and the VHF AIS transmitter repeats the message and position several times per minute. This enables all vessels within range to assist with the rescue if they have an AIS receiver or transponder.

What else do I need?

Apart for an AIS receiver or transceiver connected to a chartplotter / PC, nothing. The Easy Rescue maybe attached to a life jacket or kept on a lanyard. To operate just slide the safety cover off (releasing the coiled antenna) and press ON. A test button allows regular test of GPS function, battery state etc.

AIS receiver easy connected to the VHF antenna – with integrated splitter/amplifier and USB output.

Functionality:
The easyAIS receives the AIS VHF radio signals, actually most send by the commercial vessels (but also from an increasing figure of pleasure boaters). These signals are proceeded into a NMEA Signal which can be interpreted from the latest chartplotter or a PC software. The unit has got an integrated antenna-splitter and this makes the installation of the unit to the existing VHF antenna very easy. By means of the integrated splitter with integrated RF-signal amplifier physical losses are eliminated, which is unique in nowadays market.

What is necessary to use the easyAIS-IS Generation?

What is necessary to use the easyTRX?:

There is necessary and own VHF Antenna and an own GPS Antenna. As an alternative you can also use the easySPLIT OCB which allows you to connect the easyTRX to your already existing VHF antenna. Also there is the possibility to use the easyTRX ANT. A special designed antenna with integrated VHF and GPS Your chart plotter or your PC software must be capable to display AIS data on the screen The transmission of your own data works also without a connected chart plotter or PC But you need to have an MMSI, which is given to you by your national authorities.
